Bacon LIVE: Sean Took my Kazoo Away

Last week I tried to teach Sean how to talk Kazoo. He wasn’t impressed and decided that I should retire the Kazoo. This will be the last Kazoo intro.

Long time supporter of the show Kurt asked about the shirt sizes for the Bacon Bash Tees. This got Sean on an angry fat man rant about shirt companies ripping people off. I am not going to get it to it now so you will just have to watch or listen for yourself.

Sean also told us about this Downtown Pittsburgh adventures at the Double Tree. Long story short, they have great cookies.

We also shared like 50 great business ideas, so if you steal anyone of them just make sure you give us credit. Thanks and enjoy bacon!

Bacon Patriotism

Bacon seems to be an increasing trend amongst us hungry, meat-worshipping Americans. With the infiltration of bacon food trucks in society, meals revolving completely around bacon, and the infamous Turbaconducken… One can see its rising popularity.

Turbaconducken, you ask?

Ah yes, that would be a chicken stuffed in duck, stuffed in a turkey, all wrapped in bacon… Ridiculous and over-the-top? Probably. A heart-attack waiting to happen? Maybe. But mouth-watering and delicious? Absolutely! See what I mean about this bacon craze?

And most of these meat loving Americans love their country as much as their pan-fried pork. I mean, it’s America! We have freedom of speech, expression, and most importantly… eating whatever we want! We’re always looking for new ways to include bacon into our hectic lives. Why? Because simply put, bacon is pure concentrated “awesome”.

So, what goes well with bacon? Clearly, most bacon fanatics would say, “everything!” But anyone would agree that you can’t beat the old fashioned bacon and pancakes. As your bacon sizzles and pops in the pan, the red of the pork meat and white of the tasty fats become more apparent. And when you add blueberries to your pancakes… Well, you might as well start singing the Star Spangled Banner! The “Berries and Strips” tee combines this delicious breakfast and arranges it into the American Flag. And what makes this tee so “old glorious” is the slogan, “Give Me Bacon Or Give Me Death”. Well, isn’t that the truth! This tee represents both your love for your country as well as your deep appreciation for bacon! And we all know Patrick Henry truly believed that bacon and liberty go hand in hand. The “Berries & Strips” tee is not something you will find at your local superstore and is definitely not something to be missed. If you want to turn heads while announcing your pride, this shirt will definitely do so. To get your shirt, hop onto this site to get your very own slice of bacon patriotism. For other cool bacon tees and some original, swine-tastic clothing, we’ve got you covered here.

Eating bacon isn’t only a breakfast enjoyment, so being patriotic shouldn’t be reserved only for our nation’s holiday. Eat bacon anytime and show your country’s pride when you’re having a night on the town. Go ahead, people will love it. Nothing says “fun” like an awesome bacon tee.

Bacon LIVE: We Need an Intern

One the show recorded on August 17, 2011 Sean and I talked about having interns play the Kazoos for the shows intro. You will be surprised if you knew how many people can’t play a Kazoo.

Sean and I also talked about how we should start a reality TV show all about cooking bacon. Since that is what most cooking contest shows are anymore. Not that we are complaining about that.

A few other highlights are Obama eat and enjoys bacon, baby monkeys can ride pigs backwards, and you can only get good BBQ from a mom and pop shop.

Bacon LIVE: This Time Slot is Bacon LIVE Time

On the recorded on August 10, 2011 we talked about video games, meat processing, and the definition of a fortnight. Another travesty that Sean brought to our attention was hospitals in the UK not serving a hot bacon breakfast anymore. If your sick in the hospital the last thing you need is less bacon.

Sean also shared a recipe on the show so be sure to have a pen and paper handy so you can write it down. You would think I would type it out here but that would be work.

We also talked about a million other things so make sure you watch or listen to the show. Also if you have time write a review of out show in iTunes. Thanks.

Bacon in History…

Part 239 in our 782 part series.

This little bit of bacon lore comes from food writer Troy Johnson,on the heels of his new show “Crave” on the Food Network where he explains origins and shares stories surrounding some of today’s favorite foods.

“During World War II, people could turn in their bacon grease in exchange for food coupons,” he said.

“The government would take the bacon grease and turn it into explosives. That’s because bacon contains glycerol, which becomes nitroglycerine and TNT. So Bacon defeated the Nazis,” the writer stated.

So remember kids it wasn’t Indiana Jones who toppled the Nazi regime, it was your favorite slice of pork.
